Last trip is means the last event/activity that we had attend together and it was become the last thing that we do together. No more uni bus, no more bunch of "over-excited" classmate, and no more lecturer who always so CARING. Therefore, no more after this last trip. Can I say no but I can't. As what I always says, "Life is hard but still need to moving on".
The Emcee of the Performance |
The Stage of the Performance |
Well, this week question is about the field trip that we attend on 19 of March. Luckily, we had the chance to participate the performances of <2020> and <Kakak 下人>. Two performances are totally brought out different meaning and issue. I personally would choose the second performance as my favourite. *the first one is good also I promised
The <2020> performance is created by the well-respected renegade Malaysian musician, Ng Chor Guan. Generally, performance of <2020> offers its audience-participants new ways of accessing experiences while moving them towards better futures, real and imagined. It presents with two male dancers that dancing with modern dance at a wide space of the stage where it only involves some test-tube babies. At very first expression, I would imagine and comes out "WOW, is there any magician coming out and do some balloons, something like that." BUT imagination always is beautiful and perfect in mind. *spoiled my imagination lol So, the performance goes with a lots of imagination, it presented in the dark and two dancers keep dancing around, and it also came out time machine concept that related to the title of <2020>.
<2020> |
<2020> |
From my understanding, it was brought out some message of it.
FACT
- Future
- Accomplishment
- Chance
- Thread
Future: As what the title was, <2020>, it obviously give people to have imagination that can relate to something that would happens but not now nor soon.
Accomplishment: Through the <2020>, we are all had the chance to live in the advanced technology modern life that can definitely easy to achieve anything that we want and need.
Chance: This the key point that I had seen in performance of <2020>. Everyone has the equal level of opportunity to achieve what we wish to get in life.
Thread: It is also means as clue. Everyday is new to everyone. There is always hidden hint or clue in daily life. You can't expect what will happens but the results at the end either is happens as same as the expectation or it never happens.
In short, I am really not that kind of person who can always fully with imagination on anything. Sorry to says that, I am quite lost while watching this performance *apologize to the artists but I am really clap with true heart after the performance end, the loudest one is ME lol Really well done for the performance!
Second performance is <Kakak 下人>. It is a performance that talk about the housemaids (kakak) are obsessed with a "ceremony" of role-playing. By taking turn to play the role of their mistress, they start to get confused about who they really are. They didn't realize that this ceremony gradually change them. the role they played, had changed them, giving them power, and led them to become a murder. *I am quite go into the role while the performance is started
<Kakak 下人> |
<Kakak 下人> |
Why am I say so? The performance brought out a lot of messages that reflect to society. First thing first, POWER is very important to people. As Kakak, they are lower class of people that always need to listen the instructions to do things because they do not have power. KNOWLEDGE is also the key point of this performance. If Kakak has high qualification of knowledge, they would not be so childish to think and plan in order to murder their owner. EQ is main focus of the performance. What if they have the emotional intelligence then they would not be so easy frustrated and depressed on anything that happened in their life.
Obviously, I am really like this <Kakak 下人> performance. *because the female actor is so cuteeee Also the content of the performance was clearly brought out some reality issues that I can understand and interpret at that moment.
